National Bank should charges a flat interest rate besides the reducing interest rate to have a competitive advantage over other Bank. 3. National Bank should recruit some young and energetic executives to ensure timely recovery of disbursed consumer credit loan. 4. National Bank should not charge any down payment for the loan. . The limit of Household loan should be increased. 6. National Bank should monitor and supervise properly to reduce default loan. 7. The clients of loan operations system should be facilitated with online Banks and other benefits. 8. National Bank may also customized loan for targeting different segment of the market i. e. Teachers loan. 9. National Bank should upgrade its website regularly and provide details information of Consumer Credit Scheme. 10. National Bank may also promote its loan operations system program through different advertising tools i. e. TV adds, news paper adds etc. 11.

For the successful handling of loan operations system, proper monitoring and supervision is essential. Customer’s information should be uploaded and updated for the proper supervision and monitoring. 12. They can handle the work excellently. Thus by providing these various services the Dhanmondi branch of National Bank Limited is playing an important role in the banking system and in the payment system of Bangladesh. 1. Conclusion Banks play a very vital role in the economic development of the country. The popularity of banks is increasing day by day which leads to increase competition as well.

Currently 57 Banks are operated in Bangladesh. All the Commercial banks are offering almost the same products and services. But the way they provide the services are different from each other. So people choose their bank according to their satisfaction and need. On the other hand, Bank innovate new products and services to attract their desired customers. Consumer Credit Scheme program is one of such innovation to facilitate with microfinance. The CCS program is very much popular for its easy accessibility. It is also very difficult for me to give any recommendation with my little working experience but I have tried as my best to give best recommendation above shortcomings (its may be its not sweet able for NBL) NBL should give more freedom to their branches for taking decisions and their head office should take decision more quickly. NBL should build separate loan recovery division if it happed then their classified loan amount will reduce and they can invest more. NBL, Inter Bank Transaction is made by advice but it is unsecured for bank so NBL have to build net working system between branches and head office.

NBL should go through the online banking as early as possible for better service to the customer. NBL, Human Resources Department should train their employees with computer knowledge and their Human Resources Department should arrange training program frequently. NBL, management should take decision more quickly. NBL should use group incentives so that employee can share their experience, strength and can work smoothly. Their statement should be computerized which is cost effective and safe. NBL . can changes their working environment by creating positive attitude to their employees and they should change their interior decoration.

Conclusion From the learning and experience point of view I can say that I really enjoyed my internship at NBL from the very first day. I am confident that this 03 (Three) months internship program at NBL. Will definitely help me to realize my further carrier in the job It would not be appropriate to draw any definite conclusion right now. So the result of the study should be taken as indicative rather than conclusive. During the three months internship program in National Bank Limited, Dhanmondi Branch, almost the entire all the desk has been observed more or less.

In fact, it has been arranged for gaining knowledge of practical banking and to compare this practical knowledge with theoretical knowledge. In the internship, it is found that the branch provides all the conventional banking services as well as some specialized financing activities to the economy. Within a very short period of time, the branch will also introduce the “ON LINE” banking. General Banking is engaged in cash receipt and payment, Cheque clearing, local remittance etc. The amount of deposit in Dhanmondi branch is very high because Dhanmondi is a rich area of Dhaka city.

Loans and Advance department analyses the credit proposal and disburse credit if the proposal is sound. As specialized financing, it provides term finance to medium and small-scale industries. The branch also provides Doctor’s Scheme, house-building loan etc. Foreign Exchange department of this branch is very efficient. Every day, this branch opens a lot of L/Cs.
